God is on a mission. I wonder if you think of him that way. From the creation to the culmination of all things, God’s mission is working its way through the universe. And best of all, we are invited to participate with him in it.

This is important because we have a purpose deficit in our world today. Like an instrument string, we were designed to resonate to purpose. And like that same string, we become stiff and brittle if we are left without it. Many people will promise you a purpose for your life, a mission to pursue, a goal to achieve. But none of these “sing” like the purpose we were created for—alignment with God’s mission.

What if many of our frustrations, distractions, and hopeless moments are a result of misalignment with the mission of God? If so, it is of preeminent importance to better understand God’s mission.
