When God Says No

The wilderness of broken dreams can be a harsh place to dwell. Thank God there’s more to it than disappointment and suffering. The wilderness for Sheridan Voysey and his wife, Merryn, was infertility. He writes candidly about the sadness and identity loss they felt through this long time period as well as the examination of their hearts and trust in God to provide a new beginning. Using the Jews’ biblical wilderness journey as a comparison, Sheridan steers you through the emptiness and emotions that come with a broken dream and offers practical steps to see the good God is doing.

Contents Include:

  1. The Wilderness of Broken Dreams

Thank you for this information. I am feeling like I have been in my own desert for many years and also question GOD’s blessings and promises. I understand to keep the faith and seek what HE is trying to show me….but it is trying and very weary after a while. I hope to find some clarity in your words….

Thank you for sharing your story! I can relate to what your wife was experiencing because I was married for 12 long years before I was able to carry my son! I had a couple of miscarriages prior to that, but God saw fit to bless me with a son and we named him Christian! I kept myself busy working and praying just as you and your wife and you just never may know God’s plan for you! He came along when I least expected, so keep on believing and keep on moving forward and again I thank you for sharing your story.

I met Sheridan over 20 years ago at Mueller College. I loved what he had to say then and I love what he has had to say now. I am more than interested in reading his book. The wilderness is one of the worst and best places to be. I wouldn’t choose it for myself but by being there if it make me more like Jesus then it’s a good thing. I never said this when I was going through it, but now that I am out on the other side, looking back, it was where I needed to be.

    Very interesting and useful

I thank God for leading me to read your booklet and both you and Merryn’s pain (I cried); and I agree that we have to trust God when He says “NO”. Very inspirational and I have posted on facebook so as many people as possible could read about your struggles and identify it with their own.

Hi Sheridan, Just wanna say thank you for allowing people to read your book for free. I’m in Cambridge studying theology, I find it so hard to time manage! But God is so good. I’m sorry to hear about yours and your wife’s disappointment, how inspiring that your test has become a testimony.
